About Lalleuca

Lalleuca is the creative hub for Tracey Gibbs. Tracey is an artist, author, illustrator and designer who has a passion for brain health to boot. She is excited about the intersection of arts and health, having seen how creative pursuits have enriched her own life.

Tracey began her creative career as a book designer in 2006, where she designed over 200 books in a ten-year career. Working in the publishing industry was a merging of joys for Tracey, she got to marry two of her loves every day; design and storytelling. Creating long-lasting works of art (books) and working collaboratively with many smart women was a dream for Tracey.

However, in her early thirties Tracey began to struggle with her health, and in 2017 Tracey was forced to retire from her design career.

It is here that Lalleuca was born. Lalleuca was first, an art business with a focus on botanical art prints at an affordable price.

Between 2018 and 2021 Tracey created series of screen printed works on paper that held roots in Pop Art and early botanical illustrations. In 2020 Tracey released her picture book for babies; Let’s Count Wildflowers.

Today, Lalleuca is a space for discussion on all things creativity. Despite adapting to challenging health problems, Tracey’s values have remained consistent.

Tracey believes; that creativity is a birthright, that everyone has an innate and individual way of expressing themselves and that it is these creative fingerprints that make us human.

Tracey also believes that self-expression is an essential component of mental stamina and resilience. Above all, Tracey hopes to encourage the discouraged back into creative spaces.

Tracey spends her time, writing, studying and creating in her home studio in Fremantle, Western Australia. She is still obsessed with story-telling, still mad on design and art and hopes to share her exploration with you as she goes.
